Photochromic glasses were a game-changer for me as a cyclist in Brandenburg. Previously I was forever taking my sunnies off and on as I passed through forest sections and open sections on my favourite rides. However, the new glasses were an investment.

When we started a brand to deliver fairly priced, quality cycling gear, I dove into research about photochromic sunglasses and what cyclists would need. After finding a manufacturer of shatterproof, lightweight photochromic lenses, we selected the best frame material possible: TR90, aka Swiss Titanium. This shatterproof, strong plastic was perfect for rides and, for the worst case: crashes. We dressed the TR90 with high-quality rubber to avoid slippage and adjustable nose pads, which allow people enough adjustment to fit glasses around their face. For spectacle wearers, we sourced a myopia-frame that could be easily filled and decreased the usual holding socket so that the myopia-frame stayed secure in place, even with lots of neck turns. We made the lenses large and chose 2 colour options. We added an EVA hard case and a soft case too, as we personally wanted both for different occasions!
